  • Semolina-1cup
  • All-purpose flour (maida)-1tablespoon
  • Milk-1 cup ( vegans can use soya milk instead of cow milk)
  • Grated boiled potato: 1cup
  • Onion (finely chopped): 1 (optional)
  • Green chilies (finely chopped)-1 or 2
  • Coriander (finely chopped)- 1 tablespoon

Others

  • Salt- 1 teaspoon (As per taste)
  • Crushed black peppercorn- 1teaspoon
  • Baking soda or fruit salt-1/4 teaspoon (optional)
  • Water-1/2 cup
  • Oil/butter for shallow fry

Pancake Preparation Process

In a mixing bowl take one cup of semolina and a tablespoon of maida (refined flour). Soak it in milk for at least 15 minutes. Wait till semolina turns soft. In the meanwhile keep all vegetables ready too.

Tip: It's best to soak semolina mix overnight to save on morning time. Soaking semolina for long hours makes it softer.

In the big bowl add soaked semolina, grated potatoes, onion, green chilies, coriander with salt, and crushed peppercorn.
