Fasting during Navratri is a celebration with Shudh and Satvik Falhar food. Food is commonly prepared with gluten-free flour like rajgire, kuttu aur singhada ka aata and Sabudana. Along with these Samak rice, also known as "vrat ke chawal", "Bhagar"or Barnyard millet is a healthy food option while on fast. It serves as a nutritive ingredient with a full sack of benefits.

  • Samak rice contains both soluble and insoluble fibers. It provides a myriad of fiber as compared to other cereals. It helps in healthy digestion and keeps the stomach fulfilled for a long time during fasting.
